Cranwell Aviation Heritage Museum

Lovely little place to visit with kids. Everyone we spoke to was kind, helpful and very knowledgeable. Recommend sausage rolls and cake. Nice and great value for money. Note to self - low height car is not ideal parking off road 😜 Kids loved playing on the interactive stuff and up close to the display outside. I'll be back to bring the other kids soon... You have been warned as they are cake fiends ,😜 Recommend and must visit 😁

Sorry to give a one star this is simply because we visited at 10.15am on Saturday and there was no one there, it says opens at 10am so I don't know why. Not near where we live so very disappointed not go have been in.

A gem of a small museum. Some interactive displays to keep the children entertained. Welcoming staff and lovely homemade cupcakes. Worth a visit if you are nearby, or a good stopping place if you are passing on the A17. Only 4 stars as it is quite small.

My grandchildren, my wife, and I had a superb time! My granddaughter now considers herself a pilot, having gained her wings on the simulator. We will be back on our next visit to Cranwell, we all enjoyed it so much. Thank you for the time you gave us today.

On our door step so dropped in to see what was on offer. Free parking, free entry and although only a small museum we were given a tour and filled with information about Cranwell Air base and all the people that were stationed there including the present King, Lawrence of Arabia and Frank Whittle to name a few. Cafe on site as well as a complete aircraft out the back. The gift shop has some nice items so pop in and find out a bit more about Cranwell and you will not be disappointed.

Such a sweet little museum. Loads of interactive stuff for kids to play with, costumes to try on, buttons to press. Really interesting to read about the history of Cranwell and what life was like for the apprentices. Staff were very kind and welcoming. A little cafe and loos made this a perfect pit stop on a long drive.

Warto poświęcić czas i odwiedzić. Otwarte w weekendy i bank holiday.

Well presented . As the name suggests it's about Cranwell. JP mk4 in courtyard and a 2 seat Vampire nacelle inside, plus a couple of engines. Enthusiastic guides. Just the right size museum for those with a casual aviation interest. Worth a visit.
